Happy New Year!
This past Saturday I went to Brooke's Miss Minnesota send-off party for Miss America! It is really exciting to see a former Miss Twin Cities now Miss Minnesota on her way to Miss America. She looks and sounds fantastic and I know she will represent our state wonderfully! What is even more exciting is that for Christmas this year, my mom surprised my whole family with a gift to go to Las Vegas to watch Miss America Live! So I will get to be in the sold out audience this year! I can't wait!
Almost all of the other contestants for Miss Minnesota were there to support Brooke and we all had an opportunity to get to know each other and Brooke a lot better. She shared with us what her year has been like, how busy she is, and what a difference she has made with the Gillette's Children's Hospital and with her platform.
I have a lot to look forward to in this new year, so I will keep you all posted! I wish you the best in 2010!
